Co-developed with Hitachi Software Engineering, the new product is a microarray which has 500-1,000 polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-amplified samples spotted on a standard 76x26mm glass slide. It is used for various genetic researches ranging from pharmacokinetics to endocrine-disrupting chemicals and disease analysis. The price is set at 50,400 yen ($460). The company expects to generate 50 million yen ($454,545) in sales annually. |
