Health News Botanics Exfoliating Body Polish
~~boots botanicals~~ the boots botanicals range is growing and i am becoming increasingly impressed with it. the aim is to use the pure power of plants to aid beauty and health. the theory is that if pure plant extracts are used in the right levels then they can provide significant health benefits.so, the boots botanicals range uses natural ingredients (well mostly, i suspect there are a few other things as well!) to create a wide selection of hair and body treatments. this includes a wide range of essential oils and aromatherapy mixes (which are also great having tried and tested a number!). ~~smooth skin body polish~~~~ *the aim* as if the title doesn't say it all, this product aims to leave skin smoother, softer and brighter. it contains ground walnut shell to smooth away dead skin cells and aloe vera to speed up cell renewal and moisturise, rejuvenate and smooth. you get all this for about £5. *the product appearance* the polish comes in a clear round plastic 250 ml tub with a screw lid. you can see the light green cream through the container with small granules mixed in, the walnut i presume. the tub like all the boots botanics range has the light green labels. combined with the green cream it actually looks quite nice as a package. i even gave one as a gift this christmas as i liked it so much. *how to use it* on the package it says that you can use this either in the shower or bath. through trial and error i have found that it is much more beneficial ( and easier) to use it in the shower as you need to rub it into your skin. It is hard to do this in the bath without washing it off. if using it in the shower I would advise that you turn the shower head away from you and then take the cream and smear it all over you rubbing so to remove the dead skin cells. The you can simply wash it away afterwards when you are sure you have rubbed it all over. *How was it for me?* This is my beauty product of 2001. I was so impressed with it, I don't know where to begin. I guess firstly I should tell you about the smell. It was wonderful and lingered around my house and on me for ages. The walnut and aloe vera smell heavanly. Whilst I was applying the polish it felt invigorating. My skin felt fabulous and very fresh. I stepped out and patted myself dry as instructed and my skin felt ever better. It felt soft, yet tingly and nice at the same time. I left it for a while and then applied a matching Boots Botanics moisturiser all over. I guess what most of you will want to know it whether it was good over time. I have to tell you most certainly. I have got into a routine of using this polish three times a week and my skin always feels soft and smells good. It looks good too, although in winter there is not too much cause to flash it about! My knees especially look better for a good exfoliation. This is not as expensive as many of those anti-cellulite creams, but combine this with a good all over body moisturiser and you are on to a winner. I manage to get through one of the 250ml pots ever month. At £5 some may see this as an uneccessary waste of money, "I mean why do I need a body polish?" However, I find it a good investment and often the Boots Botanicals products are on 3 for 2 offers, I stock up then. *An extra tip* I read lots of things and experiment with many body products. I treat this product like a body brush. You may have heard that to improve the texture of your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite you need to body brush daily. It is important when doing this that you brush in upward movements as this helps circulation and gets the toxins going in the right direction (so I believe!). Apply this principal when using the polish and rub upwards with it. Product Reviews in "Body Lotion" Botanics Exfoliating Body Polish we all crave smooth cellulite free skin. then the "body polish" bit makes it all sound so extravagent and like pampering. yes, those two things were enough to make me swipe a tub of this product off the shelf and take it home to test.
