Health News Noxzema Plus Moisturizers Cleanser
. . .did I buy Noxzema Plus Moisturizers? Well, I just started using a prescription medication for my Acne (retin-A and Benzi-Clin) and my face was starting to get really sensitive and dry. My doctor told me I would have to start using a moisturizer with SPF everyday to counteract the dryness and that I should also use a gentle facial cleanser. Off to the store I went. I found Noxzema Sensitve and tried that. I didn't really like it for cleansing my face (Feel free to read my review on it here at Epinions). So, with a coupon in hand I went back to the store and found the Noxzema Plus Moisturizers Cleansing Cream . This Plus Moisturizers Noxzema comes in both the Lotion cleanser in a 10.5oz pump bottle and in a Cream cleanser in the typical Noxzema 10.75oz tub. They come in the typical blue color with a purple stripe on it that reads "Plus Moisturizers. Menthol - Camphor - Eucalyptus" I bought the Cream cleanser in the tub. I bought this one because It also came with a free 2.5oz tub of the original Noxzema cream cleanser. I have never really used the original Noxzema before. My mother used to use it when I was younger, and I remember the smell of the eucalyptus wafting throughout the bathroom. Ingredients Water, Stearic Acid, Linseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Gelatin, Calcium Hydroxide, Ammonium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Camphor, Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Dmdm Hydantoin, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol. Usage The directions state that Noxzema Plus Moisturizers can be used on a wet or dry face. Just apply generously and massage into face with fingertips or a wet washcloth using a circular motion. Rinse thouroughly. And of course it states that you should use the Noxzmea Pads and/or astringent to treat/prevent pimples/blemishes. Results The first thing I noticed about this Noxzema is the scent. It is a very pleasant scent. You can still smell the eucalyptus and such, but it isn't as harsh smelling. It is a soft scent reminenscent of baby powder mixed with Eucalyptus. A very pleasant scent indeed. I applied it generously to my face using my fingertips and noticed a slight tingly or cold feeling. It felt like a cold cream. It actually feels like it is cleaning. I would love to compare it to the Original Noxzema, but, I have not used the original Noxzema before. Next I noticed how easily it rinsed off. I Just rinsed with water. This is probably paritally due to the fact that it is water based. It rinsed cleaned. I felt no residue left over and didn't feel the need to use a washcloth to rinse/scrub it away. After drying my face I didn't feel the overwhelming need to apply a moisturizer to my face. My face felt plenty moisturized without feeling oily or dried out. I do notice a little tightness in my face after cleansing, but this usually goes away after a few minutes. Final Thoughts I Enjoy using this product. It really feels like it is cleansing and moisturizing in one simple step. My face hasn't really had a problem with dryness since I started cleansing with Noxzema Plus Moisturizers. This Noxzema would be great for someone who has wanted to use the trusted Noxzema brands before, but found the original type to be too harsh and drying.
