Origins Comforting Solution for Sensitive Skin
My brother uses Comforting Solution after shaving and said it was so much better than any after shave lotion. He told me to try it on my face since it was supposed to help reduce redness from sensitive skin.
My face turns flaming red, almost purple, and stings with just about every soap/lotion/cream out there. Sensitive skin is an understatement.
When I put Comforting Solution on my face, it felt cool and didn't burn. Using it after washing my face made my skin feel better immediately, though it still looked pretty red.
Using it by itself doesn't do much good. When I used it underneath my normal moisturizer (after I waited a few minutes for the Comforting Solution to get absorbed), it seemed to work a little better in reducing the redness.
I did get more pimples using this. I rarely break out, and after the first week, at any given time I had at least two pimples.
This summer, I used it on bug bites (I can't use the itch relief products because I break out) and it did help with that. It has a "cooling" quality about it that at least made my skin feel better and stop the itching for a little while. (Plus it didn't attract any additional bugs!)
It doesn't make your skin feel tight at all, you'll still need a moisturizer, but there won't be much of a difference in the sensitive skin redness. It smells great. And it's very much a unisex product.
